Panasonic TC-L32U22 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV Review

Bought this TV for the bedroom. It has a fantastic picture and great sound quality. One great feature is the automatic picture adjustment based on the room ambient lighting, saves having to mess around with the picture when you flip on the side table lamp. Also the factory color presets actually support the intended display, example: cinema setting looks more like film.
The only thing this set doesn’t have that I would have like is an IP/Ethernet port. Otherwise I am extremely happy. Plenty of HDMI ports too.

Which Size HDTV is Right for My Room?

HDTV Size chart With standard-definition TVs, the rule used to be that viewers would feel comfortable watching a set from a distance of 3 to 6 times the screen size in inches. With HDTV, the resolution is so much better that you can sit closer to a larger TV without noticing the pixels. So with HDTVs, the rule tends to be you can sit anywhere from 1.5 to 3 times the screen size (in inches) for the best experience.

If you know the size of the room you have already, where you want to sit, and where your new HDTV should go once you get it, you can figure out the size HDTV you should get.

  • Minimum size = Viewing distance/3
  • Maximum size=Viewing distance/1.5

Nice TV – M. J. Kessler – Georgetown, TX
TV now works great. However, it arrived with a defect on the screen – three highly visible light blue dots (1/4 to 1/8 inch in diameter) about 9 inches apart in the center of the screen plus a pattern of tiny light blue dots that looked like the milky way. Panasonic referred me to their authorized service center where the TV was repaired (replaced the panel).

A Nice TV – R. D. Trbovich – PITTSBURGH, PA, US
I’m am very pleased with my Purchase. The TV is great. I particularly like the SD slot, which enables me to review or display a slide show of pictures from my digital camera. Delivery was prompt and set up was very easy.

Proscan 47LC55S240V87 47-Inch 1080p 240Hz LCD HDTV, Black Review

I’d been looking for a good deal on a new LCD for a while. When I came across this one I was a little sceptical because I hadn’t heard of the brand before. After reading the reviews, which were mostly very positive, I decided to take a change. For the price you can’t beat the features it offers.

I got the TV a couple of weeks ago and all I can say is WOW! The picture is fantastic…even better than I’d hoped. The menus are easy to use and it has tons of inputs. My HD TV channels look fantastic, and I’m excited to get my new blu ray player. I haven’t seen it in full 1080p yet, but my family and I love the tv!

The non-glare screen is great too because we do have a large window in the room. My old projection TV was often difficult to see because of reflections…no such problem here.

Another feature we love is the numerous aspect ratios and the ease of switching between them. On our other we’re constantly deciding whether we want everything stretched or chopped off. But with this one we have more choices and can usually get the best aspect easily.

We had a bit of a scare when the TV was delivered because the front of the box had a large tear in it. After taking the TV out we found that whatever tore the box missed the screen and the set was undamaged. The delivery guy was very helpful setting it up and made a point of taking pictures of the damaged box and notating it on the delivery form, just in case there was an issue down the road.

I really can’t rave enough about the TV. Our Wii (which is low definition) even looks great on it.

Impossible Price for a Great LCD – Willie Montgomery – Desoto, TX
I had been looking for a 47″ LCD with a 240hz scan rate. When I saw the price for this Proscan I fell off my seat. Impossible, I said to myself! The ones I had priced like: Vizio, Sony, Panasonic, etc., were running with a low of 00 and up. How can this be that a manufacturer was selling this same product for less than 0? So after reading the reviews for the Proscan 55″: “I said why not take a chance on Proscan’s 47 inch”. So I bought it but to secure the value of the TV, I purchased a 4 year warranty to protect my investment. After setting the TV up on the wall in my bedroom I was blown away by its fidelity and color. It beats the hell out of my Mitsubishi 55″ DLP. If competition continues like this, everybody will go to LCD’s leaving other TV’s in the dust bin like the old beta-format video tapes. I strongly recommend this TV, especially if Amazon is still selling it for less than 0. But protect yourself with the warranty.

Won’t be disapointed. buy this tv. – sam –
This tv is great. The motion flow technology is impressive and makes everything look like your on the set. The tv is top notch and before the name change to proscan it was rca’s top of the line tv with a 4 grand price tag. My ps3 and my computer look remarkable on this screen. especially ps3. be sure to use a hdmi 1.4 cable to use this tv to its full potential. what a deal though. no complaints so far.

wrong color when powered on the first time – Y. Feng –
Very disapointed first time turned it on. Color wrong! Some color missing or reversed. Very weird. Planned to watch FIFA 2010 during the weekend but all the players (Paraguay vs. Spain at this moment) looked like ghosts.

Called Amazon for replacement. Unfortunately, out of stock. The gentleman told me that he filed for refund for this case and some shipping specialists sent by Amazon would call me today (Sat) or next Tuesday for the shipment.

Give one star for Amazon for their prompt service. The TV itself is nothing to me.

July 06: Nobody called my mobile phone for the return shipment up to this moment. Very disappointed. The TV is just a big piece of junk at home. I hope it is not the fault from Amazon. I have purchased many things from Amazon and this is the first time I am not happy (actually angry) about the product.

The Salter 1450 Scale is one of the best selling nutritional Salter scales on the market. But, as with any product, there are pros and cons. Below is a very detailed list of all of the pros and cons I was able to find about the product based on customer reviews.

The Pros were, of course generally favorable. Most reviews raved about how the Salter 1450 Scale is the best nutritional scale you could possibly buy for a diabetic. When used consistently, it’s also been said to be a great tool for losing weight.

Pros

Analyzes nutritional content of food by portion size.
Great for calorie counters and low carbohydrate dieters.
Works right out of the box.
Doesn’t take up much counter space.
Very durable.
Recommended by endocrinologists.
Can be used with batteries or plugged into a wall outlet.
Designed for better portion control.
Calculates calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, sugar, fiber, sodium, and cholesterol.
Great for diabetics.
Large LCD Display.
Comes with pre-programmed nutritional values of 1,400 different foods.
Has extra memory for 100 programmable foods of your choice.
Measures both liquids and solids.
Can record daily food intake and set dietary goals.
Comes with a 10 year warranty if bought new.
Great to travel with.
Comes with batteries if bought new.

Cons

Slow response time when retrieving nutritional data.
Cell phone like numeric keypad.
LCD readout is dim.
Unhealthy foods in pre-programmed database such as candy bars.
Entering entire recipes is cumbersome.
Instructions for adding recipes can be complicated to some.
Customer service isn’t very helpful with helping customers learn how to use the scale.

The biggest complaint I found by several customers was that this scale is not particularly user friendly. It takes the average person about an hour to learn how to use the scale to it’s full potential. If you’re not patient enough to take the time to learn how the scale works, then purchasing it would be ill advised.

Hopefully this list has given you better insight into the advantages and drawbacks of the Salter 1450 Scale. It can be a powerful tool in the hands of someone patient and capable. It can also be a nightmare for those with little patience and zero electronic handling skills. Use your due diligence and choose your nutritional scale wisely, whether it be the Salter 1450 Scale or another.

While there are many different blood pressure monitors out there for you to choose from, there are many that are unreliable. When you need to keep track of your blood pressure, you need to ensure that your monitor is giving you the accurate readings that you need. If you need quality and accuracy for a great price, consider what a Panasonic device can offer you. You’ll find that this company offers many different monitors to choose from, from wrist monitors, arm monitors, and more.

It is important that you use a machine that makes it easy for you to monitor your blood pressure. A Panasonic monitor will offer you the help that you need to accomplish this. Not sure which one you should buy? Here are two of the best options that Panasonic has to offer you.

One option available to you if you want a Panasonic blood pressure monitor is the Panasonic Precise Logic Upper Arm Monitor. The benefit to this monitor is that it is extremely easy for you to use. Simply put your arm into the cuff, press a button, and everything else is taken care of for you. There are a variety of features that you can enjoy. One great benefit is that people of every size can use this monitor, since the cuff accommodates various arm sizes. The reliability of this monitor is wonderful as well, providing you with the accuracy that you need when taking your reading. Since this monitor is very light, it is easy to handle. You can also store your readings on the monitor so you can look back and track your measurements over time.

Of course, there are other options available when you decide to go with a Panasonic monitor as well. One of these options is the Precise Logic Wrist Monitor by this company. This is a monitor that you simply put on the wrist instead of the upper arm. These monitors have become quite popular because they are very small and easy for you to use. You can easily carry around this type of monitor because it is so light. It will also give you a very quick reading, measuring your pulse rate as well as the blood pressure. The LCD screen on the monitor is large, making it easy for you to read the results as well. You can’t go wrong with this line of products by this famous company.

Proscan 26LB30Q 26-Inch 720p LCD HDTV, Silver/Black Review

Bought at Sears about 0. Easy basic set up. To go further with add-on devices you MUST understand the technical names and connectors. Instructions are limited on plug-ins. Great picture. Great sound for first 30+ days. Now I get a “buzz” on bass type sounds, like distortion of speaker or vibration in plastic case. Not yet worth taking down and going for repair. No direct outputs for speakers/surround sound, have to connect other cables. Overall it is a much better picture than previous 30″ analog set. Channel change is slow, maybe due to using an antenna. Reception clips in and out often even on best channels (but never on commercials :)
The input/output connections are hidden and confusing but overall for our use it works great. Just wish it was more novice friendly on installation.

Buyer Beware – James Eveland – Florida
When I purchased this set it was fine and I enjoyed it’s company. Then it started..DVD went and I called and I called and I wrote and I called……..Nothing for 30 days. Then they finally said the warranty had expired. Luckly I had an add on warranty from Square Trade. Brought it in to have it fixed and the technician said Proscan parts department Sucks.Waited 3 months for DVD player part. He said DVD player was cheap and don’t count on it to work any better or any longer. Picture sucks now and doesn’t come in that good. Do not buy Pro Scan..Buyer Beware.

Good Set For The Price – Zman – Lafayette, Ca United States
I purchased this set through Costco online for 199.00, but the offer seems to have now expired. It is a great television for the price. High Def and standard def are both great. Wish I had bought two of them for the price. I am not an expert on high definition televisions so can’t comment on technical comparisons. All I know is I haven’t seen a 26″ HD television cheaper anywhere. Great tv for a kitchen or bedroom.

Remote response time, delay in changing channels – Carl F. Jeerings – Ogden, Utah
Bought this TV when Circuit City shut doors. Was pleased with picture and sound. However the remote is difficult to use from across the room. First it must be carefully aimed at the sensor. Second, the buttons are finicky. Sometimes they work and sometimes you wind up skipping channels. Finally when you change a channel there is several seconds before the TV reponds. It is virtually impossible to “surf” channels without getting frustrated. I also noted the DVD freeze up reported by others. Overall it is a fairly good TV for the money but the quirks are annoying. I have a 24″ Samsung the performs head and shoulders over the Proscan.

PS: The TV is in the bedroom where my wife uses it during the day so I get blow by blow feedback on the remote.

At 9, this TV was a good buy. At 9, I would pass. – DrRob – Florida
On Sunday 11/15/09 Sears marked this set down to 9 on their website, so I ran out and picked one up. They had to get a manager to approve the price, because it rang up at 9. Four days later It is now priced at 9. At 9, this TV was a good buy. At 9, I would pass.

The picture quality looks good once you adjust the contrast and brightness settings. The pre-set adjustments look terrible. I turned the brightness down very low and the contrast up pretty high which produced a fairly vibrant picture. The picture is not as good as more expensive TV’s, but for the price I paid I am pleased. The speakers on this TV are fair. They sound tinny and they buzz if you turn the bass up too high. Also, the volume accelerates too quickly. At level “4″ the TV is too quiet and at level “5″ it is too loud. The on board tuner is acceptable for over the air HD signals. My original antenna works fine with my old Sony 40″ LCD TV, but the Proscan was not able to receive all the channels. I ended up building an antenna out of coat hangers, and after several hours of adjustment I am now able to pick up all of the local over the air HD stations using the built in tuner. HDMI and VGA connections look good; I haven’t tried the component or composite inputs. This is a very attractive TV for the price range. Most sets in this range look basic and square, but this TV looks good on the wall and has nice sleek lines. The Proscan logo is not as big as the picture makes it look.

Overall I would recommend this TV to someone looking for a bedroom or second TV set; but only if the price were still 9. I would not be happy with this TV as my primary set, or if I had paid any more for it.

Panasonic TC-L32X2 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV with iPod Dock Review

For quite some time i had been searching for a 32″ flatscreen that didn’t cost 0. When i came across this TV, i had no hesitation to order it! I play my xbox 360 on it and the picture is wonderful. What’s even cooler, is that the TV has built in surround sound, and bass and treble adjustments. I was using component cables with my xbox 360, and i thought the sound and picture was alright. When i switched over to HDMI, all of the blur went away, and the picture was stunning. The sound is AMAZING for the size of this TV!

Another amazing thing is that the 32″ size is plenty satisfying. I have another 50″ flatscreen and i have no desire to move into the other room, because this TV is just fine. It is PERFECT for a bedroom.

Shipping was free, and only took 3 days to get it! Only 0.98, shipped.

—————————————————————————————————-
PROS
-3 hdmi ports, 1 component input, and even 2 composite inputs for older devices
-SD card reader
-You can adjust every aspect of the picture and sound to optimize it towards your preferences
-iPod dock! Just plug in any ipod and play videos and music! It charges it too!
-Bezel of the TV looks like carbon fiber, and makes the bezel fingerprint proof
-The speakers produce AMAZING, DEEP, and REALISTIC sound!
-The TV is only capable of 720p, but if i set my Xbox 360 to 1080p, it still works (lol)
-Plays slideshows, has game mode to enhance picture. Game mode is adjustable!!! I set it up perfect!
-Very energy efficient
-It wasn’t even 0!
-You can fine tune the zoom setting to get rid of the annoying black bars on the top and bottom of some tv channels
-My cable feed sucks and only comes in at 480i, the lowest resolution possible. There is NO distortion despite this!

CONS
-Sleep timer can only be set to an Hour and a half (90 mins)
-Only one output, Digital fiber optic (It’d be nice if it had standard RCA output to connect analog speakers)
-The remote is harder than hell to use in the dark, because there are so many buttons; it isn’t backlit or glow in the dark.

Other notes: Out of the Box, if your room is well lit, the screen adjusts itself to be bright. If you cut off lighting in the room, the screen will darken. This is because there is an ambient light sensor on the TV, so it knows when to adjust the screen. This is actually pretty annoying, but all you have to do to disable it, is turn off ” C.A.T.S “

This X2 series model also features 24P Playback function for superb imagery from 24-frame movies on DVD and Blu-ray Disc, Game Mode for faster image response while playing immersive 3D games, a 20,000:1 contrast ratio, and an improved panel with In Plane Switching (IPS) for an ultra-wide viewing angle and higher moving picture resolution that results in clear, bright images.

This and other models in the X2 line offer Panasonic’s VIERA Image Viewer feature, which enables you to play slideshows of JPEG images stored on SD memory cards, as well as the VIERA Link feature for controlling a variety of compatible components–from Blu-ray Disc players to digital cameras–through a single remote.

Adhering to Panasonic’s commitment to the environment, this VIERA model–as well as all 2010 models–features improved power consumption and meets the new, more stringent Energy Star 4.0 requirements.

Key Features

In Plane Switching (IPS): The latest iteration of Panasonics IPS LCD panel features excellent light transmittance and a wide viewing angle. The wide 178-degree viewing angle–both horizontally and vertically–ensures clear images even when viewed from an angle. And the panel backlight’s wide transmission aperture enhances the contrast between light and dark, improving motion-image response.

Game Mode: With Game Mode, quicker image response increases the enjoyment of video games when a game console is connected to the TV. What’s more, VIERA produces the dark images in video games more clearly. This mode works with the anti-image retention (wobbling) function, too.

VIERA Link: Allows the interlinked operation of various AV devices–from DVD and Blu-ray Disc players to home theater sound systems to digital cameras and camcorders–using only the VIERA remote control by simply connecting the devices to each other by an HDMI cable (see pop-up illustration).

Panasonic Vierra – Excellent – Richard J. Sofaly – killeen, tx
Excellent product, easy set up. Perfect picture off of unamplified rabbit ears (we live in country in flat wooded area). IPOD works great thru the TV.

Absolutely is a great buy!

Great LCD for X-Box 360 – G. Afremow – Los Angeles
Replaced CRT TV, and based on on-line research this set has game mode. Repsonse is much faster, Modern of Warfare 2 plays much faster and is excellent.

Great value for a music lover! – Two Devices – St. Louis, MO
This was a great purchase for my bedroom. This is a great value because the price is reasonable for a 32″ and you get the iPod docking station. I have an iPhone 3G and it works great and I really love controlling my music with the remote and avoiding the expense of buying a separate player. Great purchase!

Panasonic TC-L42U22 42-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV Overview

Panasonic TC-L42U22 42-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV

Panasonic TC-L42U22 42-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV Specifications

Offering advanced LCD technology for the highest possible picture quality, Panasonic’s 42-inch VIERA TC-L42U22 LCD HDTV features an improved panel with In Plane Switching (IPS) for an ultra-wide viewing angle and higher moving picture resolution that results in clear, bright images. This U22 series model provides 1080p resolution, 24P Playback function for superb imagery from 24-frame movies on DVD and Blu-ray Disc, and a 20,000:1 contrast ratio.

This and other models in the U22 line offer Panasonic’s VIERA Image Viewer feature, which enables you to play slideshows of JPEG images stored on SD memory cards, as well as the VIERA Link feature for controlling a variety of compatible components–from Blu-ray Disc players to digital cameras–through a single remote.

VIERA Image Viewer: View full-HD images with the integrated SD card slot, enabling you to view JPEG photos captured from your digital camera or camcorder on the big screen. Navigate your images via an easy-to-use thumbnail display.

VIERA Link: Allows the interlinked operation of various AV devices–from DVD and Blu-ray Disc players to home theater sound systems to digital cameras and camcorders–using only the VIERA remote control by simply connecting the devices to each other by an HDMI cable (see pop-up illustration).

The Panasonic TX-P42V10 is in Panasonic’s second tier of plasma TVs. This TV is the way to get a high end product without paying quite as much as you would for the top. Panasonic’s top tier televisions can run several thousand pounds, but this TV can be had for about one thousand pounds.

This Panasonic TX-P42V10 television recently won the European Imaging and Sound Association’s best plasma award for 2009-2010. There are a lot of features that brought it to this prominence. Panasonic has worked towards greater environmental efficiency. Panasonic has developed NeoPDP, which is a technology meant to improve the efficiency of the screen luminescence.

There are of course many other features that make this television special. Among these are Viera Cast, DLNA, and a built in Freesat tuner. Viera Cast is how Panasonic present the Internet on your television. Using the remote control, you can access Internet content. You have to have a broadband Internet connection to hook this up. Unfortunately, you can’t access the whole Internet, but just a few selected sites. Entering text with the remote control is a little cumbersome, but better than some other televisions.

DLNA stands for digital living network alliance. It’s purpose is to make it easier to connect various electronics. For example DLNA makes it possible to watch videos or still pictures that are stored on your computer. DLNA only supports some file formats though, it won’t let you use anything from your computer on your TV.

Freesat is a free satellite broadcast system. It provides high definition programming free of charge. With this built in to the Panasonic TX-P42V10, you can watch programs for free, even without paying for cable. Of course if you are going to spend this much money on a television set, you will definitely already have cable. But the more programs available the better.

When spending this much money on a television it is important to ensure you will get the best use of it. If you do not already have an HD TV, try them out in the store before buying, to make sure the difference is worth it for you. The Panasonic TX-P42V10 is designed to provide a cinema like experience. For anyone who watches a lot of movies and wants to recreate that experience, something like this might be worthwhile.

Make sure you aren’t going to get stuck with the feeling that you have hundreds of channels and nothing to watch. People spend a huge proportion of their lives sitting in front of the television set. Before you watch a show, you should always analyse if it is worth watching. Don’t spend your time doing something you don’t really enjoy that much. You certainly don’t want to buy this television and then realize you don’t want to spend that much time watching it.

The difference in price between different television sets is mostly based on the features provided. Once you have made the decision to buy a plasma HD television, picking the right one can be tricky. You have to weigh what options you think you will actually use, and how much those options are worth to you. If you aren’t going to use all the extra bells and whistles, then there is no point in paying for them. The Panasonic TX-P42V10 could be the right balance between paying a lot for a leading edge set and an average amount for a typical one. Each family needs to pick the television that is right for their needs and within their budget.
